Private helicopters are the ultimate experinece in skiing and
snowboarding. With a private helicopter you can ski when and where
you wish, with your group only, and the cost is reasonable, in fact
if you are efficient with your helicopter time you can ski for less
money per run than the regular rates, or you can choose to explore
areas of the Chugach that are not accessed by any of the other
helicopters.

The way a private helicopter works is that your group purchases a
number of days, five days minimum, and pays for two and a half hours
per day of helicopter time. This time is cumulative, which means
that if you do not use all of your time on one day then you may use
it later in your period.

The rates per hour are split between your group. Groups of eight to
ten are suggested although any size group is fine. The hourly rate
is 2995.00 and is a “hobbs rate” This means that you are only paying
for the flying time, and not for time that the heli is running but
landed. If your group is ten people then each person pays just
299.50 per flight hour, or 748.50 per day. The current fuel
surcharge is equated to 204.00 per flight hour and may be adjusted
due to changes in fuel costs.

You may fly more time than your original booking, or may fly all of
your time over a day or two if weather comes into play during your
period.
